Conflict and Mediation
When most people think of conflict,
their thoughts generally focus on the negative elements. This is understandable
- especially, if past experiences of conflict have been destructive. In many cases,
however, the practice of conflict-awareness and the implementation
of effective conflict resolution skills can make the difference
as to whether a conflict will escalate, to the intensity of emotions experienced
and to the possibility of a positive or negative outcome. Furthermore, the utilisation
of effective conflict resolution and mediation skills - while successfully
addressing issues brought to the surface - can also bring about other transformative
benefits, including: increased shared understanding, improved relationships and
greater self-awareness. Although most people do find conflict uncomfortable, it
is often an opportunity for both personal and professional growth.
Fighting Fair offers workshops in effective conflict resolution skills and a solid
foundation in the facilitation of the 5 staged mediation process – designed
to increase your confidence and capacity in dealing with conflicts at an interpersonal
level; and, in a professional role mediating others' conflicts.
